I have lived in Grayslake for twenty-five years and my husband and I raised our two sons here. I expect the same things from life in Lake County that you do - good roads, reasonable taxes, quality schools, adequate health care, and respect for the environment.
The challenges we face today in Lake County - traffic congestion, rising property taxes, environmental concerns
- demand qualified and effective leaders to address them. District 11 will be best served by a representative who is experienced, and has demonstrated a commitment to the County and a proven ability to work with others to move forward. I am that candidate.
The County cannot act alone in dealing with the critical issues we face. We must work with municipal, township, state and federal officials. Too often we see units of government at odds, rather than coming together to address problems. As Mayor of Grayslake, I was known for my ability to work with others, build consensus, and move forward to solve problems. I will bring that same ability to "get things done" to County government.
I have the experience to move us forward. My twelve years serving in local government, my twenty years of executive leadership in the business world, and my commitment to the community have prepared me to take a leadership role in the County.
As your representative in District 11, I will devote my full-time energy to the job and I will bring all my experience to the table to benefit you.
